My name is Kendra, and I’m so happy you are here. I am a girl with a camera trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I love to travel, but my favorite place to be is at home with my husband and our 2 teenage sons. I am inspired by places and spaces — architecture, nature, well-designed rooms, bodies of water, the doors in Europe, the doors in Palm Springs, Anthropologie window displays… I believe that “no matter what anybody tells you, words & ideas can change the world.” I am easily overwhelmed, loyal to a fault, and have a talent of accurately hanging picture frames without a level. I like my steak well-done and cookies medium-rare. My favorite things are panda videos, wildflowers, and good grammar.

Growing up my favorite thing to do was look through photo albums. It didn’t matter who or what was in them, I couldn’t get enough. My family still says “mo pittos!” when looking at pictures because of my enthusiasm. I started KWP in 2009, and even though I stepped away from portrait work a few years ago, my enthusiasm for pictures never waned. I shoot solely with my phone these days, but I’m still chasing good light and trying to capture with my camera the beauty and emotion of a moment.
